Fiber Optic Ferrules and Alignment Sleeves
VitroCom manufactures ultra high quality precision glass ferrules and alignment sleeves made to customer specifications utilizing our proprietary technology and processes.
We offer ferrules in a variety of inner diameter configurations to suit your requirements with tolerances of +/-0.001mm and better. We supply standard and custom lead-ins enabling easy to use and reliable terminations.
Alignment sleeves are precision products made from various types of Borosilicate glasses, Soda Lime or Clear Fused Quartz to customers’ specifications.
The UV transmission characteristics of Clear Fused Quartz glass enable the customer to use UV curable epoxies. In addition, metallic oxide coating of the outer surface of the quartz is possible, enabling plating and the soldering of these sleeves to metal for hermetic packaging.
Fiber Optic Substrates
Custom Clear Fused Quartz glass substrates are precision drawn for use in fiber optic applications and can be manufactured in various configurations to fit your drawing or specification.
Applications can be for fiber support and/or alignment purposes, or for isolating fiber within the package.
Extremely tight tolerances are achieved by VitroCom's proprietary technologies and processes and our expertise in manufacturing non-circular and irregular configurations.
